Users are advised to remove the SU-Sig code from pages/signatures to get rid of pageload delays.

If you're looking for an alternative, I'd recommend SteamSig.net.
He (IX3L) offers a unique Service and has made the things done SU has been long announced but never implented, such as custom backgrounds.
